I’m thrilled to be releasing my 5th Casey Holland, mystery Knock Knock next month. It’s been a while since the 4th installment, The Deep End, was released in 2014, so it’s about time. And here’s the cover!
Given that my protagonist, Casey Holland, is a transit security cop, the references to buses or at least some sort of transportation related to the story is an ongoing theme on all of the covers. I love the dark, noir feel to this image. It works perfectly because the crimes (home invasions) take place at night.
I’ll be writing more about the release date and the series soon!
Last year, a craft fair vendor suggested that I sell my books at a winery. A winery? But my mysteries have nothing to do with wine. She assured me it didn’t matter, and she was right.
This past Sunday, I spent the day at Township 7’s “Art on the Vine” event. Despite the heat, people came to listen to music, drink wine, and support local artists. Sitting in front of the vines and drinking wine while I chatted with customers was one of the most relaxing and fun bookselling experiences I’ve had.
By the way, Township 7 also has a winery along Penticton BC’s Naramata Bench, and they also hold Art on the Vine days, along with other events. Check them out HERE.

My publisher, Imajin Books, is about to launch a terrific two-week sale on their ebooks from July 1st to July 15. My first Evan Dunstan mystery novella, DEAD MAN FLOATING, will be on sale for only $.99 (U.S.) through the following links:
Security guard Evan Dunstan didn’t expect to find a body floating in a campus stream. An empty vodka bottle nearby suggests that the highly despised George Krenn, head of the plumbing department, had drunkenly fallen in. Refusing to let the death of a vile man ruin his romantic plans, Evan decides to leave the body for the next shift to find.
One friend in trouble…
When it’s discovered that Krenn was murdered, Evan has a lot of explaining to do. So does his friend Sully, Krenn’s least favourite student. Evan uses his hacking skills and campus knowledge to keep them both out of jail, but the investigation forces him to question Sully’s innocence.
One mystery to solve…
Uncovering the truth proves to be more than challenging. It may cost Evan his job, his friendship, and his woman. Will Evan find the killer, or will the killer find him first?
